Updates to Vishwakarm

We build in the open and update the community on every meaningful change. These notes are written for members — not developers.

  1. June 2026·v2.6Improvement

    Message or call providers

When you want to reach a provider, you can now choose to message or call. Both options require you to sign in first — contact details stay private until then.

    • Provider profiles now show separate Message and Call buttons after you sign in
    • Your phone number is never shown publicly — it appears only after you sign in and start an enquiry
    • Message still opens with a short introduction mentioning Vishwakarm
  2. June 2026·v2.5Improvement

    Homepage redesign

The homepage has been refreshed to feel tighter and easier to scan — search is front and centre, featured providers are shown in a simpler card layout, and spacing across the site is more consistent.

    • Redesigned the homepage hero so the search bar follows the headline and supporting text
    • Featured providers on the homepage now use a compact card with price and referral count
    • Reduced extra gaps across the homepage, directory, and footer
  3. June 2026·v2.4New

    Search from the homepage

You can now find a provider straight from the homepage — pick a service and your city, and we take you to the matching listings. We also gave our team better tools to keep the list of services up to date.

    • Added a search bar to the top of the homepage to find providers by service and city
    • The directory now remembers your chosen city in the page link, so it is easy to share or revisit
    • Our coordinators can now add and update service categories directly, so the list stays current
  4. May 2026·v2.3Improvement

    Widescreen onboarding layout

We redesigned the provider onboarding page to make better use of widescreen displays. The form container now stretches up to a comfortable 3-column or 4-column equivalent width matching other dashboard pages, while individual inputs and locations pickers remain constrained for high readability.

    • Widened the onboarding page container from max-w-lg to max-w-3xl for a more spacious feel
    • Constrained standalone text inputs and description fields to readable widths so they do not stretch too far on desktop
    • Expanded option grids like service category selection to take full advantage of the extra horizontal space
    • Fixed input width consistency on referral claim pages when arriving from a direct invitation link
  5. May 2026·v2.2Improvement

    Who builds and maintains Vishwakarm

We added a small note in the footer about who builds and maintains the platform. Vishwakarm is built and cared for by VijayaTech Labs — part of keeping things open and accountable to the community.

    • A new "Dharmically built by VijayaTech Labs" credit in the footer, linking to vijayatechlabs.com
  6. May 2026·v2.1New

    Nationwide onboarding and location support

We have removed regional restrictions for provider onboarding! Providers from any location in India can now create an account and list their service. New locations are automatically recorded for review by our coordinators before they go live in the directory.

    • Search and select any city or locality across India during onboarding
    • No longer restricted to just Andhra Pradesh and Telangana launch clusters
    • New locations are seamlessly verified by our coordinators behind the scenes
  7. May 2026·v2.0New

Create your account and list your service

Anyone can now join Vishwakarm by creating an account with their phone number. If you offer a service, you can list it directly after signing up — it stays private until a coordinator reviews and approves it. Signing in is now also required to contact providers, keeping the community trusted.

    • New "Register" button in the navigation — create a free account with your phone number and a password
    • Listing a service now starts with signing in, not an anonymous form
    • Your listing is not visible to the public until a coordinator approves it — you will see a "Pending review" status on your dashboard
    • Once approved, your profile goes live in the directory automatically
    • The "Sign in to contact" button now also offers a quick link to create an account for first-time visitors
  8. May 2026·v1.9New

Search engine and AI visibility settings

We have optimized Vishwakarm for search engines and modern AI search assistants (like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews). This includes dynamic sitemaps, a homepage FAQ section, cleaner page descriptions, and dedicated raw text options for AI assistants to read without visual noise.

    • Interactive frequently asked questions section on the homepage detailing verification and trust rules
    • Improved indexability rules for search crawlers while keeping private dashboards secure
    • Dynamic sitemap.xml automatically updates when coordinators approve new providers
    • Dynamic /md subpaths on provider profiles offer clean markdown text tailored for AI tools
    • Integrated Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property tracking to monitor visitors and AI referrals
  9. May 2026·v1.8.1Fix

Location search fix for launch cities

Fixed a bug where searching for a location in Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, or Warangal would fail during provider onboarding. Location search in all launch cities now works correctly.

    • Location search no longer errors out when a provider onboards in a seeded launch city
  10. May 2026·v1.8New

    Location search and city-wide curation

We have integrated address autocomplete to make onboarding and finding providers easier. We also added a city selector to the directory and expanded admin tools for managing cities and localities across our Andhra Pradesh and Telangana launch clusters.

    • Interactive location picker with autocomplete when adding or onboarding providers
    • Filter the community directory by active cities and localities
    • Admin tools to approve cities/localities and merge duplicate entries
    • Coordinator access control limits admin actions to their assigned city/locality scope
  11. May 2026·v1.7New

    Providers get their own dashboard

Providers can now sign in to manage their own listing. Update your pricing and service area instantly, and see the enquiries coming in. Changes to your name and description are checked by your coordinator before they go public.

    • A personal dashboard for every provider, with phone + password sign-in
    • Update your indicative price and service area — changes go live right away
    • See the enquiries people have sent you
    • Changes to your public name and description are reviewed by your coordinator before publishing
  12. May 2026·v1.6New

    Coordinators can add providers directly

Coordinators can now add a provider to the directory in one step, then share a link so the provider sets their own password. Providers can also list a contact email on their profile.

    • Coordinators can add a provider directly, without a separate application
    • New providers get a link to set their own password and sign in with phone + password
    • Providers can show a contact email on their profile (sign-in is still phone + password)
  13. May 2026·v1.5Improvement

Sign in with your phone number and password

Sign-in now uses your phone number and a password you choose. When you are invited, you open a link and set your own password — then sign in any time without waiting for a code.

    • Sign in with your phone number and password
    • New members set their own password from an invite link
    • No waiting for a one-time code on every sign-in
    • Forgot your password? Your coordinator can send you a fresh link to reset it
  14. May 2026·v1.4Improvement

    Simpler, more reliable sign-in

Sign-in now uses a short code instead of a clickable link. Enter your email, then type the code we send you — it works from any device and email app, with no more expired-link errors.

    • Sign in with a one-time code instead of a magic link
    • Works the same whether you open your email on a phone, laptop, or any email app
    • No more "link expired" errors caused by email security scanners
    • Still passwordless — nothing to remember
  15. May 2026·v1.3Improvement

Community referral counts are now live

Approved providers now show how many community members have vouched for them. Verification badges reflect the coordinator's actual review — not just a placeholder.

    • Provider pages now show real community referral counts
    • Verification badges (Identity, Address, Skill, Community) reflect coordinator decisions
    • Coordinators can update provider verification status from the admin console
    • Referrer details remain private — only the count is shown publicly
  16. May 2026·v1.2New

    Admin console and provider approvals

Coordinators can now review provider applications, approve or reject with a note, and manage approved providers — all from a dedicated console.

    • Coordinator console at /admin for reviewing provider applications
    • Approve applications to instantly publish providers to the directory
    • Reject applications with a note (applicants can resubmit)
    • Work sample previews visible during review
    • Referrer trust signal shown — coordinator sees whether the referring person is a known member
  17. May 2026·v1.1New

    Sign in and contact providers

Provider contact details are now gated behind a simple email sign-in. No password needed — just enter your email and click the link we send you.

    • Email magic-link sign-in — no password, no app install required
    • Provider phone numbers only shown after signing in
    • Every contact reveal is logged so we can maintain service accountability
    • WhatsApp contact opens a prefilled message for a respectful first introduction
  18. May 2026·v1.0New

    Provider onboarding is open

Skilled community members can now apply to join Vishwakarm. Applications go through a coordinator review before any provider is listed publicly.

    • Six-step application form — service type, contact, work samples, and referral
    • Referral capture: providers can mention who referred them from the community
    • Work samples uploaded privately — only coordinators see them during review
    • Invite links: community members can share a referral link with providers they vouch for
  19. May 2026·v0.9New

    Community directory launched

The Vishwakarm directory is live. Browse verified providers in your launch locality — all publicly listed information is intentionally minimal to protect provider privacy.

    • Directory of approved providers across 6 pilot localities
    • Filter by service category and locality
    • Provider pages with bio, experience, pricing range, and trust badges
    • Non-affiliation disclaimer on all public pages

Vishwakarm is an independent community platform and is not affiliated with PM Vishwakarma or any government scheme.
